Greenpalm Publishing: A Call for Justice and Community Action

Rallying Voices to Demand Accountability and Fairness
One day later, and the situation with Greenpalm Publishing has only become more disheartening. I find myself blocked from their platforms, with no further communication forthcoming, no payment made, and no resolution in sight. Despite my diligent efforts—writing two articles and one review about the book on Shahid Shahrokh, as well as dedicating 7 hours to work on a blog they specifically requested—there has been no acknowledgment of my contributions. They initially stated, "We need your assistance in getting our blog up and running," further adding that "it has been down for some time." Yet, they later claimed there were no technical issues and that only articles and reviews were required, even though earlier they had specified, "Only articles," which they then changed to include "reviews as well."
At this point, it’s clear that miscommunication within their management is at the heart of the issue. Is this behavior fitting for a company that claims to have international connections and ties?
I recall in the interview mentioning that a blog would be beneficial, to which they responded that they did not have a blog, but a website. Later, however, they contradicted this, saying, "We have a blog" and placing the blame on me, claiming, "It was your mistake, not ours." Despite this, they had previously taken responsibility for the misunderstanding, stating, "We accept responsibility for this mistake and are willing to compensate you for your time," after I made it clear that I wasn't seeking an apology, but rather compensation for the time spent.
To date, no compensation has been provided, and no attempt has been made to honor the agreements or discussions we had.
The request for the files was made explicitly by them. They knew full well the number of files completed, as they had specifically requested those works. This raises a critical point: the claim that I sent the files amidst ongoing negotiations is not only misleading but inaccurate. It was not an impulsive action on my part; rather, they had asked for the work, and I complied. At the time, they REQUESTED my account details, and I complied, having 1 week patience and leeway for the payment - a mistake on my part due to continued good faith. Yet, after a week of waiting, I was met with a dismissive response stating, “InshAllah, this week.”
When I spoke up, patiently requesting what was rightfully owed, I was met with a disturbing dismissal. My polite inquiries were labelled as “Ruuuuud” (rude), in response to my stating that it was not my duty to run after payment for work completed, neither should I wait a week since as they stated that chances of further collaboration was severed, they reaffirmed to sever ties with me. Their refusal to recognize my legitimate expectations or to even acknowledge the value of my work speaks volumes about the ethical and professional standards, or lack thereof, that Greenpalm Publishing upholds.
It’s beyond frustrating to be treated with such disregard—both professionally and personally. This entire ordeal has highlighted the vulnerability of individuals, especially when they are dealing with larger entities who are not held accountable for their actions. While they may have the power to block and ignore, they cannot erase the reality of their unethical behavior, nor can they silence the truth.
In light of this, I call on others to remain vigilant. This experience is not just about my individual struggle; it’s a reflection of a broader issue that many individuals face in their professional lives. We must demand respect, transparency, and fairness in every interaction. And for institutions like Greenpalm Publishing, I urge you to reflect on the importance of ethical conduct—not only in business dealings but in the very way you treat people.
If you have been through a similar experience, or if you wish to stand in solidarity with the need for justice, I encourage you to make your voice heard. It is not about one person or one entity; it is about maintaining integrity in our professional spaces and ensuring that those who exploit others are held accountable.
I will not be silenced by their attempts to erase me or dismiss my claims. My call for justice remains unwavering, and I hope this will serve as a warning to others and as a reminder that we all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
A Test of Integrity: Will Greenpalm Redeem Themselves?
In light of the fact that Greenpalm Publishing operates on funding, one must wonder: will they redeem themselves? The consequences of their actions—unethical treatment and exploitation of time and effort—are not just a personal loss for me but a potential blow to their credibility and long-term prospects.
Operating on funding, Greenpalm Publishing is likely aware of the impact their actions could have on future investments, partnerships, and opportunities. The question is whether they will recognize this and take steps to right their wrongs. Will they choose to prioritize integrity over convenience and salvage their reputation, or will they allow this injustice to fester, further tarnishing their image and the trust they seek from collaborators? Moreover, considering their role in publishing books about Islam, the Shahid, and Islamic principles, how will they protect their credibility on an international scale? The trust of their audience—many of whom look to them for accurate and respectful portrayals of Islamic values—depends on their ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
Redemption is not only about financial compensation but about restoring the trust that has been broken. Will Greenpalm step forward to acknowledge the hurt they’ve caused and make amends, or will they continue to ignore the ethical responsibility that comes with their position?
The coming days will reveal whether Greenpalm Publishing values transparency, fairness, and the dignity of those they work with—or whether their funding and resources will continue to blind them to the very principles they need to uphold.
