My Experience with Greenpalm Publishing – A Call for Justice

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful,

To the Esteemed Office of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may Allah protect him),

I humbly write to you today, seeking guidance and justice concerning a matter that has caused me considerable distress. My intention is not to seek personal retribution but to uphold the principles of fairness, dignity, and respect that our faith and values demand from every individual and organization.

Recently, I had a professional engagement with Greenpalm Publishing, which left me feeling humiliated, disregarded, and wronged. Despite my sincere efforts to resolve the issues amicably, their dismissive attitude, broken promises, and unjust treatment compelled me to share my story.

The Sequence of Events

1. Initial Engagement
Greenpalm Publishing approached me through a mutual friend, who assured me that payment would not be an issue. Trusting their promise and with aspirations to contribute meaningfully, I agreed to collaborate.

Following an interview, I suggested creating a blog to enhance reader engagement, which they initially approved. I spent over seven hours designing a blog, only for them to later claim it was unnecessary, apologizing for the “miscommunication.” While they initially agreed to compensate me for my efforts, they later rescinded this promise, blaming me for the misunderstanding.

2. Article Writing and Discussions on Payment
When tasked with writing book reviews and articles, I expressed concerns about their proposed payment, as it was very low compared to the effort required. An Iranian sister confirmed that their rates were not just low but “very low.” Despite this, I continued writing in good faith, completing three pieces, including one article divided into two themes to meet their word count requirements.

When I sought flexibility—such as choosing books from their collection, flexibility over number of articles due per month, or having the freedom to write longer, more meaningful reviews—they responded dismissively, I also asked that the article payment per word would match the review payment per word. They justified their rigid terms with statements like:"They stated: 

'Before we first spoke to you, we had reviewed the payment and, based on many considerations, we offered that initial payment.'

'As far as the payment is concerned, unfortunately, we have a limited budget. That’s why we couldn’t exceed the proposed amount.'

'You only have to read the book for the review, so it does not justify the same payment.' However, writing articles often takes many hours of thoughtful work and effort, sometimes even longer than a review."

Despite my concerns, I optimistically hoped the matter would be resolved and continued to fulfill their requests.

3. Lack of Communication and Professionalism
Their refusal to engage in direct dialogue made resolving issues difficult. They avoided phone calls and relied on voice notes and SMS responses, often dismissive and unclear.

When I offered the articles I had completed, they requested my account details, promising payment. I complied, but weeks passed with no deposit. Despite repeated follow-ups, they failed to honor their commitment.

Finally, they claimed:

• “We did not use your files and will not pay you. Put them on your website.”

This blatant disregard for my time and effort was deeply upsetting. Their issue was never the quality of my work but rather an unwillingness to honor their agreement.

I would also like to emphasize that I have been actively involved for over 15 years in promoting the revolution and the positive image of Iran across various platforms and media. This includes my contributions on television, Iran Radio, Islamic Pulse (with over 100 videos), as well as the translation of literature by martyrs (Shahid). Additionally, I have been consistently active on social media, dedicating many years to presenting a positive image of Iran and supporting the revolution.

The Impact of Their Actions

This issue has extended far beyond a financial loss. The undue stress caused by their actions, coupled with the lost opportunities to focus on more productive endeavors, has had a significant impact on my well-being.

Instead of using my time and skills elsewhere, I have been forced to pursue this matter, resulting in a continuous cycle of frustration and delay. While their unjust treatment has deprived me of fair compensation for my work, it has also undermined my ability to contribute meaningfully in other areas.

Request for Compensation

In addition to seeking payment for the work I completed and ensuring that my contributions are compensated at a fair and appropriate rate, I respectfully request compensation for:

• The undue stress caused by their dismissive and unprofessional conduct.
• The time and opportunities I have lost as a result of dealing with this matter.
• All the extra time and effort that I had to invest to receive my rights.

This compensation should reflect the value of my time, effort, and the worth of the work they requested, ensuring that justice is served in full.

Ethical and Spiritual Reflections

This experience is not merely about financial loss but about the ethical principles that were violated. Trust, justice, and honoring agreements are sacred values in Islam, and their disregard for these principles was a source of great pain.

Imam Ali (AS) has said:

“Injustice is the worst form of oppression, and nothing destroys blessings like it.”
(Nahjul Balagha, Saying 239)

Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS) also reminds us:

“The believer does not betray, does not lie, and does not break a promise.”
(Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, Hadith 208)

Greenpalm Publishing requested my work, used my time, and then refused to compensate me fairly. Their behavior reflects poor management and a lack of regard for professional ethics.

A Call for Justice

This issue is larger than myself—it reflects a systemic problem where individuals are exploited, their efforts undervalued, and their rights denied.

I seek your esteemed office’s guidance in addressing this matter and ensuring that justice prevails. I hope this account serves as a reminder to all organizations of their moral duty to act with fairness and integrity.

If Greenpalm Publishing decides to act in good faith, I remain open to resolving this matter. However, until they do, I believe it is my responsibility to warn others and protect them from similar injustice.

May Allah (SWT) guide us all to uphold truth and justice in every matter, great or small.

This is a cause to which I have been deeply committed for the last 19 years. Personally, I have even devised a program aimed at helping the community prepare themselves to be part of the Imam’s army. I do not hide the fact that this program was guided by the Living Imam (may Allah hasten his reappearance), as it was born out of 19 years of daily recitation of Ziarat Ashura, Quran, Ziarats, Duas, and Tafsir. I only state this to emphasize that this guidance shaped the content and purpose of the program, which I will include here, though it is in English. I distributed this program within the community for five years to awaken and inspire them.

نامه‌ای به دفتر حضرت آیت‌الله سید علی خامنه‌ای برای درخواست حمایت واسطه‌ای

با تقدیم سلام و احترام،

اینجانب می‌خواهم تجربه‌ای را که به‌طور عمیق مرا تحت تأثیر قرار داده است، با حضرتعالی در میان بگذارم. مسئله‌ای که در آن حقوق بنده پایمال شده و احساس بی‌عدالتی و تحقیر عمیقی در من ایجاد کرده است. این تنها یک تجربه شخصی نیست بلکه بازتابی است از این که چگونه باید به عنوان یک جامعه، برای کسانی که صدایی ندارند ایستادگی کنیم، به‌ویژه زمانی که قدرت و منابع به جای تحقق عدالت، به زیان مظلومین استفاده می‌شود.

اخیراً در همکاری با انتشارات «گرین‌پالم» در یک پروژه حرفه‌ای مشغول بودم که متأسفانه منجر به یک تجربه تلخ و غیرمنصفانه شد. به‌منظور روشنگری این ماجرا را شرح می‌دهم تا نه‌تنها به شفافیت خودم کمک کند بلکه توجه همگان را به مسئولیت‌های اخلاقی سازمان‌ها نسبت به افرادی که با آنها همکاری می‌کنند، جلب نماید.

شرح ماجرا

شروع همکاری و پروژه
این شرکت ابتدا از طریق یکی از دوستان به من معرفی شد و ایشان اطمینان دادند: «نگران مسائل مالی نباشید، مشکلی از این بابت وجود ندارد.» این اطمینان و آرزوهای حرفه‌ای من باعث شد تا با حسن‌نیت همکاری را آغاز کنم.

در اولین جلسه، پیشنهاد دادم که یک وبلاگ برای جلب مخاطب طراحی کنیم. آنها درخواست کردند که چنین وبلاگی طراحی کنم و من حدود هفت ساعت وقت صرف آن کردم. اما بعداً اعلام کردند که نیازی به این وبلاگ ندارند و بابت این «سوءتفاهم» عذرخواهی کردند. گرچه ابتدا پذیرفتند که زحماتم را جبران کنند، اما پس از مدتی از این قول خود عقب‌نشینی کرده و مرا مقصر این سوءتفاهم دانستند.

نگارش مقالات و نقد کتاب
این شرکت از من خواست مقالات و نقدهایی بر کتاب‌هایشان بنویسم. گرچه شرایط مالی که پیشنهاد شد بسیار پایین بود، اما تصمیم گرفتم به همکاری ادامه دهم و سه مقاله تهیه کردم. برای یکی از مقالات، حتی موضوع آن را به دو بخش تقسیم کردم تا با الزامات تعداد کلمات آن تطابق داشته باشد.

هنگامی که پیشنهاد دادم شرایط انعطاف‌پذیرتری برای ادامه همکاری در نظر بگیرند، از جمله ارائه چندین کتاب به‌طور همزمان یا پذیرش مقالات طولانی‌تر، آنها به صراحت مخالفت کردند و پیشنهادات حرفه‌ای من را با جمله‌ای مانند «هیچ‌کس بیش از ۷۰۰ کلمه نمی‌خواند» رد کردند.

عدم پاسخگویی و تعهد
یکی از آزاردهنده‌ترین جنبه‌های این ماجرا، عدم تمایل آنها به ارتباط مستقیم و شفاف بود. علی‌رغم تلاش‌های مکرر من برای تماس تلفنی و حل مشکلات، آنها دائماً از تماس تلفنی خودداری کردند و تنها پیام‌های صوتی ارسال می‌کردند که امکان رسیدگی به مشکلات را غیرممکن می‌ساخت.

پایان دردناک
پس از ارائه آثار کامل، آنها شماره حساب بانکی من را خواستند و من نیز همکاری کردم. اما علی‌رغم وعده‌هایشان، هیچ پرداختی انجام نشد. پس از پیگیری، ابتدا پاسخ دادند که «ان‌شاءالله این هفته» و سپس با چند روز تأخیر اعلام کردند که من رفتار «بی‌ادبانه‌ای» داشته‌ام و می‌توانم آثارم را برای خود نگه‌دارم و در وبسایتم منتشر کنم. در نهایت، بدون هیچ دلیل منطقی، اعلام کردند که هیچ‌گونه پرداختی انجام نخواهند داد.

درخواست بنده
با توجه به این ماجرا، از دفتر محترم حضرت آیت‌الله خامنه‌ای تقاضا دارم که در این موضوع مداخله کرده و برای حل این مشکل مساعدت فرمایند. عدم پرداخت حق‌الزحمه و رفتار غیرمسئولانه این انتشارات علاوه بر خسارت مالی، استرس فراوانی برای بنده ایجاد کرده و فرصت‌های دیگری را از من سلب کرده است.

به دلیل عدم رسیدگی این انتشارات، درخواست دارم که نه‌تنها مبلغ توافقی پرداخت شود، بلکه برای استرس و زمان از دست‌رفته نیز غرامت در نظر گرفته شود.

دریافت حمایت در راستای فعالیت‌های رسانه‌ای و انقلاب اسلامی
اینجانب به مدت بیش از ۱۵ سال در ترویج انقلاب اسلامی و تصویر مثبت ایران در رسانه‌ها و پلتفرم‌های مختلف فعال بوده‌ام. این شامل مشارکت‌های من در تلویزیون و رادیو ایران، برنامه‌های «اسلامیک پالِس» (با بیش از ۱۰۰ ویدئو) و همچنین ترجمه آثار شهدای انقلاب اسلامی است. علاوه بر این، در رسانه‌های اجتماعی نیز برای معرفی تصویر مثبت ایران و حمایت از انقلاب اسلامی فعالیت‌های گسترده‌ای داشته‌ام.

این مسئله برای من، صرفاً یک موضوع مالی نیست، بلکه موضوع احترام، کرامت انسانی و تحقق عدالت است.

نتیجه‌گیری
امیدوارم این نامه موجب شود تا از حقوق افراد حمایت بیشتری صورت گیرد و جامعه اسلامی ما به سوی اجرای اصول اخلاقی و عدالت حرکت کند.
