Who Carries the Trust Before the Rising?
"Not all messengers are sent to speak. Some are sent to see who listens."
They say every era has its signs.
But what if the first sign is sent in silence?
Muslim ibn ʿAqīl wasn’t sent to rule.
He was sent to witness.
To walk the streets.
To knock quietly.
To see if hearts were ready.
He came not with armies, but with a letter.
Not with force, but with trust.
So the questions must be asked:
-
Who carries this role in our time?
-
What kind of person is sent ahead of a greater arrival?
-
Would we recognize them — or would we explain them away?
-
Would we hear them — or would their voice be too subtle, too unfamiliar?
-
What happens to a city when its chance to host truth quietly passes through — and is missed?
And finally:
-
If Muslim ibn ʿAqīl were to walk into our gathering today,
would we open our door —
or wait to see if anyone else does first?
